2008 Trends in Ocean Wave Energy

Ocean Wave Energy seems to be slowly progressing in 2008, there are several projects scheduled to be completed by the end of 2008 and early in 2009. Many of these projects are large enough to power up a small town and this will be when Ocean Wave Technologies prove their worthiness to the world. As you have probably figured ocean water is denser than air, about 750 times denser, thus, it has incredible advantages over wind generation.

This is not to say that T. Boone Pickens is not a revolutionist in his bid to create alternative energy with wind generators, indeed, it makes sense to tap into the constant wind in South Texas and elsewhere, why not. Rather, what we are saying is that you get more bang for your buck from the never ending duration of the surf compared to the sometimes blowing hard wind.

There are now several ocean wave generations schemes and designs in use now in 2008, some large enough to power up 10,000 homes. Larger projects are slated and should be online before 2010 and what we learn from these will allow us to build giant systems able to power up cities of 500,000 to a million homes. That future is coming and someday we may well be able to power up entire nations simply by using the motion of the never ending waves that hit their shores.

If you are someone who truly cares about alternative energy and wants to stay in the loop on all the latest advances in this unique energy sector, then perhaps you might do a little research online in your spare time to see just how far we've come. I had some really great links to describe all this in more detail to help you the reader, but unfortunately the online article site where I originally posted this article appears to have disallowed those links, its rather obvious that they care more about making Adsense click traffic trickle payments than helping you the reader learn important information about alternative energies.
